We’re excited to announce an open call for our Christmas Miscellany 2024 at Rothe House –
a festive evening filled with performances that capture the spirit of the season. This year, we
invite writers, musicians, poets, performers, and singers of all backgrounds and career
stages to share their talents in Kilkenny’s historic Phelan Room. We especially encourage
new voices across a variety of art forms to apply, as we celebrate the richness of arts and
culture in Kilkenny.
If you are interested in performing, please send:
- A short introduction: Tell us about yourself
- Proposed Contribution: Describe what you’d like to share at the event. This could
include a performance outline, song list, reading excerpt, or other relevant details.

Additional Details
● Performance Length and Limitations: For reading pieces max. 7 mins, musical
segments max. 15 mins. We can only accept group sizes of max. 4 per performance.
● Artist Fee: All selected performers will receive an artist fee. This event is proudly
funded by Creative Ireland.
● Notification of Selection: Selected participants will be informed by Friday 22
November.
