Easter Eggs-travaganza!

Join us at Rothe House & Garden for a day of activity and fun on Easter Saturday.

11 – 12.30   Find out how a common vegetable can turn your egg red, design and paint your own eggs and bring them home.

12.30 – 1.00            Break for lunch in the Garden (weather permitting – bring your own picnic).

1.00 – 2.00  Live history show for Children:  Irish History brought to life

Try out a sword, mace, bow, crossbow and musket. Find out who were Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, the O’Neills and the O’Donnells and most terrible of all, Oliver Cromwell.

Dress up as a courtier in silk and whalebone or in doublet and hose. What weapons were in use then? Practice with them yourself.
