Saturday 16th July 11 am – come and enjoy medieval refreshments in the beautiful surroundings of Rothe House Garden. Members of the Youth Heritage Society are preparing a feast of food including crispels, snowe, blanche crepes & almond pudding. No admission fee, but donations to the Renaissance Project are very welcome. Entrance is from New Building Lane.

Shown accepting the MSPI Interim Accreditation Award from the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Mr Jimmy Deenihan TD are Nathan Mannion, KAS Council member, Rosemary Barnes Hon. Curator, Dr. Máire Downey, KAS Council member and Director of RHT Ltd., Roisin McQuillan CEO Rothe House & Garden and Peter McQuillan, President of the Kilkenny Archaeological Society.
The ceremony was held in the Royal College of Physicians in Kildare Street, Dublin on Wednesday 29th June. The MSPI (Museum Standards Programme of Ireland) is co-ordinated by the Heritage Council, and Rothe House Museum is one of the first volunteer museums to be awarded Interim Accreditation.
